Introduction

The 2017 BMW X1 is being boasted as one of the best crossover vehicles when it comes to the small luxury segment. This car is quick, spacious, nimble, stylish, and happens to be well-built. Let’s take a closer look at what you can expect from it.

Exterior

The 2017 BMW X1 has a subtle stylish look to it. Like most of its competitors, it is compact in size, allowing for better maneuverability especially in tight spaces. The overall boxy shape of this vehicle also enhances cargo space. It also features twin-kidney grilles along with squinting headlights.

You’ll notice a prominent ribcage that runs across the side of the vehicle’s body, even through the door handles. The ribcage does give it a muscular look. The LED headlights are detailed. They turn with the steering wheel allowing for better visual. This vehicle stands 62.9-inches in height and 71.7-inches in width, excluding mirrors. The total length is 175.4-inches.

Interior

The interior of the 2017 BMW X1 is well made. You’ll notice rich leather along with a handsome wood trim and intuitive controls. The seating is spacious but the seats in the standard trim could’ve been more comfortable. On further inspection, you might feel the glovebox door to be quite flimsy. The steering wheel has a thick rim with a leather wrapping.

Furthermore, the infotainment screen is located in the center of the dashboard. It’s also canted toward the driver to enhance viewing. The button controls for the climate and radio are located in the center of the dashboard. While the seats aren’t as comfortable as they could’ve been the height of passengers won’t be a problem. However, the passengers in the back will have to step over a ledge when entering. The cargo space is impressive. You can store smaller items in the numerous cubbies and bins. The bulk space is present under the cargo floor.

Features

The standard features of the 2017 BMW X1 include power-adjustable front seats with memory, power liftgate, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. Furthermore, it has a tilting steering column and a telescoping steering column. You have 11 different exterior paints to choose from. Nine of them are metallic.

There’s also an optional panoramic sunroof. Heated steering wheel, heated front seats, and a head-up display are also optional. Also, the M Sport Package features comfortable sports seats, M sport suspension, blacked-out window trim and roof rails. It also has body-colored bumpers and lower-body cladding.
