The new redesigned 2017 Hyundai Elantra belongs to 6th generation of company’s compact sedan category. This vehicle is being promoted as being the best suited for drivers who like a small yet stylish sedan with fully loaded technological features. Let’s see if the redesigned 2017 Hyundai Elantra is indeed a vehicle that drivers should get excited about.

Hyundai placed a lot of attention to the exterior design of its vehicles and the 2017 Hyundai Elantra is no different. Similar to other cars manufactured by Hyundai, whether it is a SUV or a sedan, the Elantra’s design is more advanced and modern than one might expect from a vehicle carrying the suggested price tag. The beautiful exterior lines have the car feel more refined than the previous models. The vehicle demands attention due to the wider and deeper grille. The front also has boomerang-shaped LED lights that give it a somewhat unique look. The overall sporty look and a rear spoiler integrated with rear trunk lid gives Elantra a more attractive and younger look. Last but not least, size of the new model is also slightly greater than the previous versions.

Sitting in the driver’s seat one can find some similarities to the Sonata, a larger sedan by Hyundai. The 2017 Elantra’s interior gives a feeling of comfort and premium luxury. The driver-oriented dashboard provides easy access to the controls which are more like buttons and knobs instead of being fully touch operated. The space for the rear seats has been increased by decreasing the front seat and trunk space. However, that doesn’t make the interior uncomfortable regardless of where you sit. The front seats have also been given a more firm shape. Drivers can also store small items due to little storage spaces present in the doors, console, and a covered bin located in front of the shift lever.

The 2017 Hyundai Elantra is available in three trim levels: SE, Eco and Limited. The standard features of the SE trim include: height adjustable front seats, 60/40-split folding rear seats and six-speaker audio system with CD player and satellite radio.

Optional features include heated side mirrors, automatic headlights, cruise control, and a 7-inch touchscreen. It also has rear-view camera, smartphone integration, entertainment system controls on steering wheel, LED DRLs, keyless entry and ignition. Hands-free trunk opener, BLIS with cross-traffic alert, heated front seats, automatic climate control are also included.

The Limited trim adds leather upholstery, a chrome body trim, a power-adjustable driver seat as a standard. Optional features add heated rear seats, sunroof, auto-dimming rear view mirror, and navigation system. Eight-speaker infinity audio system, xenon headlights, forward collision warning and prevention and lane leaving alert are also included.
