While a lot of famous automobile manufacturers might wish to create world cars, which can be defined as cars being able to handle various terrains, the goal hasn’t been met yet. There just aren’t a lot of world cars out there. The reason being the costs that accompany trying to make each model meet different national regulations. One example that seems to stand out is the Ford Fiesta. It’s a European car that’s also famous in the States. Let’s see what the 2018 Ford Fiesta 1.0T is able to offer.

The 2018 Ford Fiesta 1.0T is the seventh distinct generation in the company’s line. The Fiesta was launched way back in 1976 and since then has gone through numerous changes. Coming to the architecture of the latest iteration, it does have some similarity to the sixth generation line that debuted in 2008. The overall length has been stretched by 2.8-inches. Furthermore, a 0.2-inch increase has been given to the wheelbase. There’s also a torsion-beam axle at the car’s rear. ┬áThe grille is reminiscent of the Aston Martin. The rear also has larger (horizontal) taillights. The overall look is definitely of a powerful car.

The interior of the 2018 Ford Fiesta 1.0T is also different from the previous models. The plastic being used looks to be of better quality. Furthermore, the controls seem to have better ergonomic control. The company seems to be interested in providing big-car features to individuals who’d like them in small-sized cars. There’s a 6.5-inch touchscreen interface. The touchscreen can also be upgraded to 8.0-inches depending on the package you opt for. Adjustable front seats make driving comfortable. There’s also a lot of room. Furthermore, the steering can also be adjusted for the best driving experience. Keep in mind that the rear seats might not be able to provide enough legroom to adults.

Coming to the features present in the 2018 Ford Fiesta 1.0T, there’s a lot of them for such a car. There’s an adaptive cruise control, parking assist, lane-departure warning as well as lane-keeping assist. You’ll also notice a 360-degree camera along with automatic high-beams. There’s an automated emergency braking system and a camera-based pedestrian-detection system. With the Sync 3 infotainment package, you’ll get a screen that seems to be ‘floating’ above the car’s central air vents on a binnacle.
