While Ford is a formidable name in the automobile industry, it has to continue to deliver in order for it to be one of the leaders in the game. It’s all about leaving your competition behind, and it seems that the company might be able to do just that with the 2018 Ford Mustang. Let’s see what the upgrades featured in this car have to offer.

Compared to the previous 2017 model, the exterior changes in the 2018 Ford Mustang are quite subtle. You should be able to notice a more flattened hood which, as the company states, has been done to increase forward visibility for the driver. A unique feature of this car is the taillights. There are three LEDs on each corner with the Ford iconic logo in the middle. If you require some additional visual flare, opting for the Performance Package provides this car with a large rear wing and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The front of the car has a sporty look with two (very visible) vents in the hood.

The interior of the 2018 Ford Mustang is not without its upgrades. Compared to the 2017 model, the biggest change you’ll notice is the new, optional 12.0-inch digital instrument cluster. This cluster also boasts a reconfigurable screen which is keyed to the driving mode that’s selected. The cabin also boasts padded knee bolsters, (optional) heated steering wheel, and soft-touch upper door panels. The seats are comfortable, however, taller passengers might wish for more headroom in the back.

The driving modes for the 2018 Ford Mustang include Normal, Sport+, Track, Drag Strip, or Snow/Wet. You should take note that the car’s damper setting, steering effort, exhaust timber, throttle mapping, stability-control setting, and even the automatic transmission’s shift programming can be controlled by the mode switch. You can also store your preferred mode by using the MyMode setting feature. The Exhaust Mode options include Quiet, Normal, Sport, and Track. Coming to the safety features, this car offers rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping, and automated emergency braking.
