Intro

Acura has been able to make a name for itself in the automobile industry. It has done so by providing drivers with impressive cars. However, there is some criticism. Drivers might argue that the company’s ILX sedan line hasn’t been living up to expectations. The 2016 Acura featured some updates. But the 2017 Acura ILX remains similar to its predecessor. It doesn’t bring anything new to the table to make it stand out from its rivals. But the 2017 vehicle still makes for a comfortable ride. It also possesses a certain appeal. Let’s take a closer look at the car.

Exterior

The company named the distinct LED multi-lensed headlights in the 2017 Acura ILX as the Jewel Eye. Also, the headlights are separate from the LED day running lights. This gives an overall nice appearance to the vehicle. The exterior is dimensionally similar to the Honda Civic. But the design of the grille, taillights, front and rear bumpers is quite different. At first glance, the vehicle looks compact yet powerful. Aerodynamics have been focused upon. The vehicle isn’t bulky. The exterior offers smooth driving.

Interior

The interior of the 2017 Acura ILX is quieter than the previous model. This is a definite positive. The quieter interior makes driving comparatively comfortable. You won’t notice any bulky noise-padding. High-quality materials make up the interior. This gives a feeling of premium luxury. Though some might be left wanting more. Both front and rear seats are comfortable. They are also perfectly positioned. You won’t feel uncomfortable with regards to space. The driver controls are very easy to use. The exceptional feature of the ILX is the dashboard’s dual-screen infotainment system. There is ample space in the rear. The rear seats should be comfortable enough for a lot of passengers. But the standard moonroof doesn’t give much headroom for some. So, you’ll need to be a bit careful with tall passengers. The leather of seats is high-quality. The seats make for a comfortable driving experience.

The cargo space is average for such a car. The vehicle doesn’t have split-folding seats. You’ll be giving up all rear seating space to haul longer cargo. This might be a problem for some drivers. A lot of them don’t like sacrificing rear space for more cargo. But the car is still able to hold its own in the world of sedans. All in all, the interior is appropriate for such a price tag. It could’ve been better if Acura decided to update some features compared to the predecessor.
