2017 Cadillac ATS-V Review
Intro
The 2017 Cadillac ATS-V seems like the company’s response to the general assumption that it can only manufacture muscle cars. The 2017 Cadillac ATS-V exudes sophistication and style. Furthermore, it seems to be created in order to rival BMW and Mercedes in the smaller and compact sedan category. Let’s take a closer look at the vehicle and see what it has to offer to the sporty drivers.
Exterior
The 2017 Cadillac ATS-V is available as a sedan or a coupe. Both have the same wheelbase but the coupe is slightly more wider, lower and longer than the a sedan. The angular body styling and Cadillac’s unique LED lighting gives it a unique look. The front part, side panels, and rear spoiler make for a better aerodynamic profile. This helps in the stability and vehicle maneuverability at high speeds. To balance the weight distribution, Cadillac has made the hood of the ATS-V from an expensive, high quality but lighter carbon fiber.
Interior
To match the comfort and luxury of its key competitors, the interior of the 2017 Cadillac ATS-V also carries a touch of sophistication. It offers a wide array of technological and luxurious features. Wood or carbon fiber interior trims make the interior look gorgeous. The space offered by the front seats is enough for full-sized adults. However, the sunroof can make headroom a bit uncomfortable for some. The rear room could be quite tight both in the 5-passenger sedan as well as in the 4-passenger coupe. Rear visibility is decreased due to the sloping roof, especially in ATS-V coupe. The rear seats of the sedan are fixed while the coupe has folding seats.
Features
Both sedan and coupe have only a single trim level. The Standard features include heated auto-dimming mirrors, automatic climate control, front sports seats, front and rear parking sensors. It also has a with rear view camera. The electronic features include Bluetooth, 5.7-inch display in the gauge cluster, and remote start. The vehicle also comes with Cadillac’s CUE infotainment system. It consists of an 8-inch touchscreen, smartphone integration, and audio system (9-speaker for coupe and 7-speaker for sedan).
Optional features include xenon headlights, upgraded Bose surround-sound audio system (10-speakers for the sedan and 12 speakers for the coupe), 110-volt power outlet, navigation-system, split folding rear seats, and sunroof. Along with different parking assists and safety features like blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision alert, etc.
