2017 Subaru WRX Review
Intro
The 2017 Subaru WRX sports sedan has been promoted as giving performance comparable to one of the best sports cars in the world. The vehicle is in really good quality and still has a price within the reach for most of the public. It also comes with a whole set of features that offer a high-quality driving experience and performance. Apparently, this car is made for those who want a daily drivable sports car. Let’s take a closer look at the vehicle and see some of the things that this one offers.
Exterior
The car resembles Subaru Impreza with respect to the style and performance, though it hasn’t been labeled as such. The 2017 Subaru WRX does have its own unique identity. The fenders gradually widened. The front nose design perfectly fits its sporty and aggressive look. Due to thin windshield pillars, the visibility area inside the car is quite large. This is helpful for controlling this vehicle when driving at high speed. There is also a large rear wing which can be replaced by an optional small rear spoiler in the WRX STI. The air intakes in the front are massive. The air intakes are one of the distinguishing features of this car.
Interior
Previously, Volkswagen Golf exceeded in its interior design and refinements as compared to its Subaru rivals. But the new WRX and WRX STI have come at par and might even exceeded with Volkswagen in interior designing. This is due to the latest and unique design elements like soft-touch dashboard and door panels, colored information display, power-adjustable driver seat and sporty leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel. The rear seat is roomy enough for full-sized adults and cargo space in the trunk is larger and safer than rivals such as Golf GT and Ford ST.
Features
The 2017 Subaru WRX is a 4-door sedan available in five trim levels. Three for the standard WRX which are base, premium and limited while two for the WRX STI which are base and limited. Standard features of base WRX include cruise control, height adjustable driver seat, rearview camera, an infotainment system consisting of a 6.2-inch screen. It also comes with six speakers, USB and AUX inputs, satellite and HD radio and Bluetooth connectivity, split folding rear seats and automatic climate control.
The WRX premium adds a sunroof, fog lights, heated mirrors, and windshield de-icers. Leather upholstery, power-adjustable driver seat, LED headlights, keyless entry and ignition, 7-inch touchscreen are added in WRX Limited. WRX STI has all features of WRX Premium excluding sunroof and has some upgraded performance parts. The Limited trim package has extra safety features. Lastly, WRX Limited manual can be equipped with optional premium entertainment and safety features.
