2018 Chevrolet Equinox Review
Looking at the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox you will notice that this car line has gone through a very impressive redesign for the year 2018. The overall look is trimmer and more compact when compared to the previous model, the interior itself hasn’t lost any room. This model is all about giving drivers a car that looks toned. Let’s take a closer look.
As mentioned, the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox has gone through a redesign that is sure to make this car appealing to a majority of drivers. The exterior exudes power without being too in-your-face, something that drivers who don’t like too much flair will appreciate. However, that’s not to say that drivers looking for a stylish car will move away. The 2018 Chevrolet Equinox strikes a good balance when it comes to offering an eye-catching style that doesn’t come across as obnoxious.
The angular front headlights and a unique grille help to make this car appear powerful even though it’s a bit compact in size when compared to certain competitors. Without mirrors, the width comes in at 72.6-inches with a height of 65.4-inches. The total length of this car is 183.1-inches, which isn’t an issue as the design enables this vehicle to safely maneuver tight spaces. A panoramic sunroof is optional. 17-inch wheels are a standard.
Even though the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox looks compact, the interior offers adequate head and legroom for passengers, even if you decide on adding the optional panoramic sunroof. Blind spots are reduced to the small window in the car’s three-quarter view. Plush cushioning is featured in all of the seats for a comfortable journey. The back seats can recline if need be.
A 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system is standard. It displays Chevrolet’s MyLink interface. Compatability with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is also standard. The overall cargo area comes in at 29.9 cubic feet. You can expand it to around 63.5 cubic feet if the rear seats are folded flat. You’ll also notice numerous cupholders. The controls on the dashboard are arranged for easy access. The steering is easy to control too.
The 2018 Chevrolet Equinox offers a variety of trims for you to choose from. There’s the base L trim that is a great deal, however, it also happens to be a custom-order model. The LS trim isn’t custom-order but doesn’t offer much compared to the L trim even though it costs more. The LT trim has packages offering some performance and interior features. The Premier is a leather-featuring trim that has everything the LT can offer and more.
There’s also an 8.0-inch optional infotainment system if you want. Standard Infotainment features include Bluetooth phone compatibility and audio streaming. It also has a USB port and an auxiliary input jack. A total of six USB ports are available in the Premiere trim as well as the Sun and Infotainment package for the LT trim. This car also offers blind spot monitoring, rear parking sensors, automatic high beams, and lane keeping assist.
