2018 Mercedes AMG GT C Roadster Review

Intro
Mercedes seems to have gone all out with the 2018 Mercedes AMG GT C Roadster. Driving it will give you a sense of viciousness as it quickly picks up speed, being able to make the sharpest of turns. It offers a perfect blend of a car that’s not only hot to look at but also delivers a performance that sizzles on the road.
Exterior
Compared to the previous models you’ll notice that the 2018 Mercedes AMG GT C Roadster when through a few tweaks. While the eye-catching design is still there changes have been made for better aerodynamics. The rear has a horizontal vent that tends to slice under the lid of the trunk. This helps to expel all of the air that has been shunted up from below, in turn, enhancing downforce. The speed-activated pop-up spoiler also plays a role in increasing downforce.
The tail end of this vehicle is given personality through the additional vertical vents which also enable this car to be more aerodynamic. You’ll also notice active aero shutters below the Panamericana grille. The company’s logo is present right in the center at the front. It takes about 11 seconds for the soft top to enclose the cabin.
Interior
The interior of the 2018 Mercedes AMG GT C Roadster is spacious enough for two passengers. Even with the top down you’ll get a comfortable ride because of the heated seats along with the standards Airscarf neck heating vent. The interior of this car is lined with Nappa leather. Furthermore, the seats of supportive and there’s minimal wind buffeting even with an open cabin when driving at high speeds.
Talking about the infotainment system, you get the Benz’s COMAND system. The central dial controls vehicle navigation and the Burmester audio. Take note that COMAND isn’t capable of syncing to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The cargo space isn’t much but as far as sports cars go it’s sufficient.

A powerful Burmester surround sound system is an optional feature. Furthermore, it also offers a rearview camera, Collision Prevention Assist Plus, parking sensors, and AMG Track  Pace. Heated seats and Airscarf neck heating vents are also included. Data recording of speed, steering angle, time, and more can be recorded through a Wi-Fi connected Apple iPhone app.
