2018 Range Rover Velar front review

The 2018 Range Rover Velar from Land Rover is definitely a car that gets a lot of points on style alone. It makes use of the company’s signature style and pairs it up with a tapering roof and slim lights. This car has a lot of cargo space and features some stunning interior materials. Let’s see what has to offer drivers.

The exterior dimensions of the 2018 Range Rover Velar seem to put it somewhere between the much smaller Evoque and the larger (though not by a lot) Range Rover Sport in the company’s Ranger Rover 2018 line. You’ll notice the wraparound taillights that look stunning on this car’s 65.6-inch height. The car’s total length comes in at 189.1-inches. The base level comes with standard 18-inch wheels, LED taillights, and slim projector-beam headlights. A panoramic sunroof is a standard feature that adds to the appealing exterior.

The first thing you’re sure to notice in the 2018 Ranger Rover Velar is the dual-touchscreen display on the dashboard. The 10-inch displays use the InControl Touch Pro Duo system. Having everything be operated by a touchscreen might take some time to get used to. The interior itself has a very clean-cut look to it. The front row has three cupholders. There are two cupholders in the foldable rear armrest. The front seats are spaced adequately. You’ll be surprised to experience how easy it is to get in and out of the car from the rear seats. The cargo space, while not as large as one might expect from the car’s exterior, is still worthy of appreciation.

The 2018 Ranger Rover Velar has power front seats, the dual-touchscreens, and dual-zone climate control as standard. A telescoping steering column and a tilting steering column are standard too. Heated front seats, heated rear seats, and cooled front seats are optional. The infotainment system offers Bluetooth audio and phone connectivity. You’ll also get voice control, two USB ports, and an auxiliary audio input jack as standard. It offers S, SE, and HSE trims. Other features include adaptive cruise control, lane assist, blind spot monitoring, and lane-departure warning.
