2018 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack Review

Intro
For a lot of people, the Volkswagen Golf is one of their favorite cars. That too with good reason. It’s a good example of an automobile that strikes a balance between effortless power and appealing look. The line has come a long way from being just a single hatchback from the mid-1970s. While some people might already be familiar with the 2017 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack, let’s see what the 2018 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack has to offer.
Exterior
One of the things you’ll notice about the 2018 Volkswagen is the much beefier exterior. However, don’t confuse being beefy with unappealing. The pumped-up exterior still retains the impressive style that drivers have come to expect from this line. The front end has been given a powerful look. Furthermore, the headlights and taillights are new, opting for a more sharper appearance than the predecessor. You might remember that last year’s model featured standard halogen and optional bixenon bulbs. In contrast to that, the 2018 model has LED headlights. Also, unlike other athletic-looking cars, this model goes for a much sleeker grill to keep in line with the sophisticated and family-friendly look. It also has a sunroof.
Interior
Coming to the interior of the 2018 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack, you’ll get a new MIB II infotainment system, stretching the 8.0-inch touchscreen to offer space to the many menu buttons the display screen is surrounded with. The new setup has also done away with the lag encountered in last year’s model. Furthermore, it features a more ergonomic design. The front and rear seats are comfortable, offering ample head and leg space. However, taller passengers might feel a bit cramped, leg space wise, when sitting in the rear. There’s ample cargo space, with the rear seats capable of folding to offer more.
Features
The 2018 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack trim levels include SE, SEL, and Base S. Take note that the new MIB IIÂ infotainment system is available in the SE and SEL trims. The Base S model features a 6.5-inch touchscreen, with physical buttons surrounding it. Standard active-safety equipment, such as airbags, are present in all trims. You’ll also get heated seats, a heated steering, and Lane Keeping Assist. Also includes automatic high beams, automatic lock and open, lane departure warning, and automatic parking.
