BMW X5 front review 2019

Intro

BMW, the renowned car manufacturing company, has brought its latest model of the 2019 BMW X5 to the car market. Now, while certain BMW fans might be disappointed because they may have been waiting for something newer and bigger in the line, having said that, the new BMW X5 does improve on the previous version. Let’s see what it has to offer, in more detail.

Exterior

The exterior of the BMW X5 SUV is something to behold. The new BMW X5 features a front suspension shaped like a double wishbone with a multilink rear. It also has adaptive dampers. Moreover, this newer version also features an option of a suspension that brings the air springs to the front of the car as opposed to the rear axle; leading to an extra customizable option because the older model only supported these air springs with the rear axle.

Compared to the previous version, the new BMW X5 is slightly larger than before when it comes to the wheelbase, width, and length. Some drivers might not like the larger kidney-shaped grille though. The corners, while not sharp, do have a cleaner feel. There is side surfacing with a line which moves up at the rear door. I wouldn’t say this SUV boasts an athletic design, but it does come across as a powerful vehicle.

Interior

When looking at the interior of the 2019 BMW X5, you can see it is a nice and comfortable one. It is something drivers have come to expect from the BMW line. As for the changes between the new and old, it offers shiny pieces of trim, electronically modern climate control buttons, and knurled knobs. The seats are still in their upright position as they were in the older version.

Coming to the instrument cluster, it is fully digital with a 12.3-inch central display featuring new software. The graphics are clear and the menu structures, accessed through the iDrive controller, have been structured to offer easy navigation. While the interior cabin does offer comfort, things can get a bit tighter if more than six people decide to ride in it. The rear seats can be folded to increase the cargo space.
