2019 Honda Insight Review

Intro
As a committed hybrid sedan, the 2019 Honda Insight sedan is a welcome addition to Honda’s growing family of exhilarating vehicles. And yes, it does bring something exciting to the table. As drivers, we know that hybrid buyers require fuel efficiency. Well, the Honda Insight provides the fuel efficiency that such buyers demand along with a sleek aerodynamic styling, powerful acceleration, and driving refinement. This vehicle is positioned as a premium compact sedan. A cultivated 5 seat interior, with class-leading interior space, and the latest technology further adds to this sedan’s universally attractive styling. Furthermore, the 2019 Honda Insight is equipped with advanced safety and driver assistive technologies along with the latest iteration of Honda Link. Let’s take an even closer look.
Exterior
The sharp-cornered headlamps and the giant grille (that is slimmer at the bottom) with dynamic bumper vents are features which can be found on many other Honda models. However, in the Honda Insight 2019, the grille has a distinctive design with the “flying wing” insert placed at the summit and running into the headlamps. This sedan has brawny fenders at the front as well as the back and a swoopy bet line. The roof has a coupe-like structure as it declines towards the back fascia, while the deck lid is rather compact and petite with no tailgate.
Furthermore, the taillights of this vehicle are huge and have substantial LED strips which become thinner on the trunk lid. There is a black insert with chrome trim beneath the back bumper. This sedan has 16-inch alloy wheels with a power moonroof.
Interior
The soft touch and real-stitched dashboard of the 2019 Honda Insight contain AC vents in the middle stack and on the passenger side affixed by a thin black and chrome strip. This, in turn, gives the cabin a premium, organic two-tier layout. Beneath the center AC vents, an eight-inch infotainment screen is positioned with more controls below it. The configuration is polished and simple and follows recent trends.
This sedan is equipped with perforated leather ergonomically sculpted seating, seat heating Apple Carplay, and Android Auto. It has an extended long wheelbase which makes it roomy. The company has bragged about providing back leg room of 37.4 inches and 15.1 cubic feet of trunk space. The instrument panel has a customizable digital driver’s meter. Furthermore, the 2019 Honda Insight has multiple storage spaces inside it including multi-level user configurable storage area between the front seats. On the middle console near the shift by wire gear selector is a mobile phone compartment intended to accommodate larger phones.
Features
Tech-wise the Honda Insight 2019 is well equipped as a sedan. It has a push-button start. The audio and connectivity is compliment worthy since it has a 140- watt audio system with six speakers, which can be utilized with a five-inch LCD screen with USB connectivity, Bluetooth streaming audio, and Pandora integration. Also, the 2019 Honda Insight Ex and Touring trims have an eight-inch display Audio touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, SiriusXM Radio, HD Radio, two USB inputs, and two additional speakers for the 180-watt system.
