2019 Subaru Ascent Review

Intro
As potential car owners, there are a lot of questions that come to mind. One of the most important questions deals with realizing the difference between what you want and what you need when buying a car. In a sense, manufacturers that are able to make people think they ‘need’ what’s being offered in a model are successful, and Subaru is no different. While you might not necessarily require an all-wheel drive or a sturdy body for daily drives, the company will make you think you need them for your family as well as all of the other features being offered in the 2019 Subaru Ascent. Let’s dive into it!
Exterior
The 2019 Subaru Ascent is a three-row SUV that’s sure to gain attention on the road because of the huge build. By the looks of it, this vehicle is definitely a good option for driving families around. The company is also proud to announce the Ascent happens to be the largest vehicle they have to offer. From a styling perspective, don’t expect too much glam when looking at this vehicle. Many car drivers might see the resemblance between this vehicle and an Outback. This SUV has a massive grille taking up much of the nose. In short, it is massive but not bulky enough to take away from a traditionally classy look one might want from an SUV.
Interior
The interior of the 2019 Subaru Ascent is definitely impressive, which is great to hear when talking about three-row SUVs considering the third row doesn’t always provide much space. The interior cabin of this model is accommodating. This vehicle’s second row is flexible. You’re able to position the seats as you wish. Parents traveling with toddlers can easily move the second-row closer to the front seats to have better access to their children. You can also move the second-row seats away for more legroom. Furthermore, the second row is available with a pair of captain’s chairs or a three-place bench. The middle seats are also easy to fold, allowing entry to the car’s third row.
While the third row is spacious, adults might feel a bit cramped back there during a longer ride. Folding the third row gives you 47.6 cubic feet of cargo storage space. This can be increased to 82.5 cubic feet if you fold the second row, too. The standard dashboard has a 6.5-inch infotainment touchscreen with all of the buttons and knobs placed in a convenient manner.
Features
Cloth seats are standard in the 2019 Subura Ascent base trim. Leather hides are available in Limited and Premium trims. The standard safety features include Active Lane Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Adaptive Cruise Control. The Premium trim and higher levels add Blind-spot monitors as well as a forward-facing camera. A rear-facing camera is available in the Touring trim.
The base model of the 2019 Subura Ascent gives you 18-inch wheels, cloth upholstery, 4 USB ports, three-zone climate control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility along with a 6.5-inch touchscreen. The Touring trim adds leather upholstery, heated and cooled front seats, a Harman Kardon sound system, woodgrain trim, and an 8.0-inch touchscreen with navigation.
