Most Googled Car Brands In 2016! Honda Takes First Place!

The 2017 is here and we can look forward to amazing new car models that are ready to be released. Google, the most popular online search engine, recently released a year-end review. Let’s take look at the 10 most Googled car brands in 2016.
Do keep in mind that the list below doesn’t necessarily mean that the most-searched car brands also had the best sales. People wanting to know about cars through the World Wide Web doesn’t mean that they’ll be buying the listed vehicles. Basically, the list identifies the most popular car brands searched for by people all around the world. Their queries might have to do with upcoming models, engine specs, pricing, or even to just look at images of vehicles. Anyways, here is the list.
The most Googled car brands in 2016 are:
If you are someone who is passionate about cars you might be able to make some guesses regarding the current state of the list. The first-ever SUV’s by Maserati, Bentley, and Jaguar were released in 2016, so that might have encouraged people to search for them on Google last year.
Ford could be on the list due to the Focus RS and the Ford GT supercar. Lamborghini has always been able to garner public interest so being included in the list makes sense. However, one might ask why Ferrari wasn’t able to make the cut? Were people not interested in the brand during 2016?
Tesla has been making waves through its all-electric lines, which is a huge hit in Europe. The sales of all-electric vehicles are expected to increase continuously in 2017. So, I wouldn’t be surprised if the company is able to make the list for Google’s 2017 year-end review too.
Essentially, Honda took the top searched spot because of the company manufacturing some of the most popular car models in the United States such as Accord, Civic, and the CR-V. They also happen to be the three most purchased cars around the globe.
Overall, Honda had a good 2016. Will Honda be able to hold its position in 2017? Time will tell.
